Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 28 August to 8 September, Paris will host the XVII Summer Paralympic Games. On 13 August, a ceremonial event was held at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory to honor the departure of Uzbekistan’s delegation, which will participate in these significant competitions.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking representatives of the Uzbek government, officials from the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Sports, as well as the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees. The event was opened by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, who extended his best wishes for success to the Paralympians in their upcoming competitions.
For the first time in Uzbekistan’s history, 65 athletes have secured 113 spots across 9 sports for participation in the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games.
