Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program published The Global Go To Think Tanks Report 2012, which made up lists of the best think tanks of the world.
According to the report, the CER claimed the 18th place among the 40th best think tanks of Asia. Compared to previous ranking, the CER moved seven places up.
Center for Economic Research (CER) is an independent non-profit research institution established in April 1999 jointly by the Government of Uzbekistan and the United Nations Development Program.
The Center provides policy advice to the Government and conducts research for other development institutions on a broad range of socio-economic development issues.
The Global Go To Think Tanks Report is based on over surveying of over 1,100 scholars, experts, journalist and politicians from 120 countries. Overall, 57,000 nominations in 38 categories were received.
The rating of 2012 is built on analysis of activities of 6,603 institutes, 1,647 think tank centers, which were divided into 38 groups based on their regional location, activities and other factors.
