Centrum Air receives new Airbus A320neo

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan-based airline Centrum Air has expanded its fleet with the addition of a new narrow-body Airbus A320neo, which arrived at Tashkent International Airport on 28 May directly from the manufacturer’s facility in Toulouse, France, the airline’s press service reported.

The aircraft is equipped with next-generation engines that reduce fuel consumption by up to 20% per passenger-kilometer, thereby cutting annual carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 5,000 tons per aircraft. Noise levels are also halved, aligning with modern environmental standards.

“Our goal is not only to grow our fleet but also to introduce more advanced and environmentally responsible solutions,” said Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Centrum Holding.

The new Airbus A320neo will soon be deployed on Centrum Air’s existing network of scheduled routes. The delivery follows the recent addition of the airline’s first wide-body aircraft — an Airbus A330 — in late April.

Centrum Air now operates a fleet of nine aircraft, including six Airbus A320s, two A321neos, and one A330-300. The average fleet age stands at just over 12 years. The airline is expected to add three more aircraft in the near future.
