Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 November, the leadership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Japan Tokiko Shimizu in Tokyo, Japan.

At the meeting, detailed information was presented on the reforms implemented in the country over the past seven years, the macroeconomic situation, monetary policy, as well as the process of transformation and privatization of state-owned banks.

As a result of the dialogue, they agreed to establish permanent cooperation between the two central banks, conduct joint research on new financial instruments and risks, and provide technical assistance to improve the skills of employees.
