Central Bank sets new requirements for banks’ liquidity
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Bank of Uzbekistan set new requirements for the liquidity of commercial banks.

According to the regulator, the Central Bank introduced changes and additions to the regulation “On requirements for management of liquidity of commercial banks”.

In line with the amendments, the banks must comply with the requirements for instant and current liquidity. The decision was adopted to ensure timely and full implementation of obligations by commercial banks.

The regulator noted that the current liquidity ratio is set at a level of at least 30%.

At the same time, from 1 August 2017, the instant liquidity ratio set at the level of not less than 10%. This coefficient will be 15% from 1 November 2017 and 20% from 1 January 2018.
