Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Basel Consultative Group (BCG), established under the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), serves as a platform to strengthen cooperation among banking system regulators on banking supervision issues.
The BCBS is an international body that develops international banking supervision standards aimed at enhancing the financial stability and resilience of banking systems.
Membership in the Basel Consultative Group will allow the Central Bank of Uzbekistan to stay informed about the latest developments in banking supervision, actively participate in improving the national banking supervision system, and enhance its compliance with international standards.
This membership will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange with banking system regulators who are members of the group, as well as participation in events and discussions focused on improving banking supervision systems in line with BCBS recommendations.
Membership will also grant the Central Bank of Uzbekistan access to information on best practices in banking supervision and opportunities to participate in events aimed at upgrading the skills of its professionals.
