Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the Decree of the Central Bank, amendments and additions were made to the "Instruction on organizing work on cash circulation by banks in the Republic of Uzbekistan".

The changes are related to the introduction of the Electronic Cash Marketplace software package. This platform will initially be introduced as an experiment in the branches of the bank in Tashkent, and then in all regions of the republic.

The purpose of creating an electronic platform is to provide commercial banks with greater freedom in managing funds.

At the same time, divisions of commercial banks can offer their surplus cash, and other divisions that have a demand for cash can agree to attract these funds.

In turn, the banking units, whose demand for cash through the platform is not satisfied, are provided with cash by the Central Bank.
