Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan plans to join the international organization Alliance for Financial Inclusion.

On 17 August 2018, the regulator’s board made the appropriate decision.

After joining the Alliance, the Central Bank plans to study international experience and attract experts to develop national programs to increase the availability of banking services and the level of financial literacy, as well as to protect the rights of consumers of banking services.

The Alliance for Financial Inclusion was created in 2018. Now the organization includes 104 institutes from 91 developing countries of the world (central banks, financial regulators, associations).

The Alliance was created to assist member countries in developing and implementing financial accessibility policies by creating a platform for the exchange of experience, training and organizing working groups on topical issues of banking services, consumer protection and small business financing.
