Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank as part of the preparation of a report on the results of the Project for Supporting Financing of Uzbekistan’s Reform Policy for a Sustainable Transition to a Market Economy.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the results of ongoing reforms to liberalize foreign exchange policy, as well as in the field of banking regulation and supervision.
The meeting also exchanged views on improving the activities of the Central Bank.
The Uzbekistan Reform Policy Funding Support Project for a Sustainable Transition to a Market Economy is the first World Bank operation to support the country’s development policy. This operation was completed in December 2019.
