Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As part of a mission to define macroeconomic modeling for the transition to a low-carbon economy in Uzbekistan, a meeting was held with representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a delegation of the French Development Agency (AFD).
The sides discussed issues related to creating a favorable environment for the introduction and development of a low-carbon economy. In turn, representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of the strategy for the development of a green economy, given the agro-industrial sector, whose share is 30% of the country’s economy.
At the same time, representatives of the FAR shared the experience of other countries of the world in the implementation of a low-carbon economy.
