Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the international payment system UnionPay, headed by Vice President Liu Heng. The sides discussed UnionPay’s current activities in Uzbekistan, achieved results, and future plans.
The UnionPay delegation presented plans for expanding its operations in the country, including the introduction of innovative services such as the development of online payment systems, the expansion of QR code usage, and deeper integration with local banks.
Considering the growing economic ties between Uzbekistan and China, as well as the tourism potential of both countries, the discussion focused on opportunities to improve consumer conditions by expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan’s national payment systems.
