Central Bank of Uzbekistan and Singapore’s GFTN Join Forces to Develop Fintech
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Singapore’s Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), an initiative operating under the Monetary Authority of Singapore, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of financial technologies.
This agreement paves the way for enhanced bilateral collaboration aimed at building a modern fintech ecosystem in Uzbekistan, advancing digital transformation, and introducing international best practices in innovative financial solutions.
The partnership encompasses a broad range of initiatives, including the development of strategic policy documents for fintech growth, strengthening human capital through educational programs and professional training, and supporting entrepreneurial initiatives and startups through hackathons, forums, and specialized events.
Special focus will also be given to the creation of digital platforms for venture financing, the stimulation of the startup ecosystem, and the promotion of green economy projects.
