Central Bank: In January-March 2023, the volume of bank cash turnover increased by 37.0 percent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-March 2023, the total amount of cash receipts (cash and through terminals) amounted to 140.8 trillion soums, and increased by 37.0 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

In particular, there was an increase in the share of receipts through terminals in the total amount of cash receipts from 31.2 percent in the first quarter of 2022 to 37.6 percent, respectively, in 2023.

In January-March 2023, the volume of banking cash turnover amounted to 173.9 trillion soums, and increased by 23.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

In particular, the flow of cash to banks increased by 24.2 percent compared to the same period of last year, and amounted to 87.8 trillion soums.

In the first quarter of 2023, the withdrawal of cash from the cash desk of banks (including through ATMs) increased by 23.0 percent compared to January-March 2022 and amounted to 86.1 trillion soums. 

In January-March 2023, credits to bank cards (163.8 trillion soums) increased by 1.7 times compared to the same period in 2022, and during this period funds were cashed from bank cards in the amount of 39.6 trillion soums. soums.

In January-March 2023, there was a decrease in the volume of cash put into circulation by 2.2 trillion soums.
