Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A meeting was held at the Central Bank with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan, Mr. Won Doyeon.

During the meeting with the Central Bank leadership, the preliminary results of the joint project to transform the activities of the Deposit Guarantee Fund in Uzbekistan’s banks were discussed.

The project is being implemented with the support of the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC).

Special attention was given to issues related to ensuring transparency in the Fund’s operations and the digitalization of payments to the public, which plays a key role in increasing citizens’ trust in the deposit insurance system.

The project is expected to produce recommendations for further improvement of the Fund’s operations, which will be implemented in cooperation with Korean authorities.
