Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the leadership of the Central Bank with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) was held at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to corporate climate governance and climate risks for the country’s financial sector.

The EBRD representatives got acquainted with the current projects implemented in cooperation with the banks of Uzbekistan to create a methodology and requirements for green finance projects.

In turn, the leadership of the Central Bank emphasized the importance of creating appropriate legislation for green finance in the country and expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the EBRD on this issue.
