Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, headed by Executive Director and Senior Political Advisor for Strategy and International Cooperation Michael Schetzel, met with the leadership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the macroeconomic situation in the country, the current monetary and foreign exchange policy, as well as forecasts for the near future were discussed.

In turn, Michael Schetzel noted that as a result of ongoing structural reforms in Uzbekistan, as well as coordinated actions of the government and the Central Bank of the country, macroeconomic stability is ensured.

Following the meeting, the parties noted their readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation.
