Central Bank holds seminar for journalists and bloggers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a training seminar for journalists and bloggers on the topic “New vision and modern approaches to covering reforms in the banking system”.

The training seminar was dedicated to improving the skills of presenting information in the economic direction, in particular in the banking system based on objective and transparent coverage, journalists and bloggers in working with facts and evidence.

With the expansion of the field of information, there is a growing demand for journalists covering the reality promptly and objectively, in order to provide the public with the necessary information in a timely manner, without being based on various unfounded rumors and one-sided interpretations.

Of course, to cover news in a particular area, a journalist must have skills and knowledge, study and analyze the situation. This, in turn, requires the specialization of journalists.

During the training seminar, responsible officials of the Central Bank and qualified economists, through presentations on local and global experience, gave an idea of the importance of covering the Central Bank’s policies today, sorting and highlighting important information to the public.

In particular, the participants of the seminar were informed about monetary policy, institutional changes in the banking system, the introduction of an inflation targeting regime, schemes and features of lending, payment systems and the digital economy, the transformation of commercial banks with the support of international financial institutions, and other relevant topics.

During the event, organized on the basis of free and open discussion, intellectual games and quizzes were held to improve the skills and qualifications of journalists.

At the same time, popular journalists and bloggers actively covering the economy and the banking sector, who have many subscribers and readers, shared their creative experience. They informed the participants about the skills of preparing material on economic topics, sorting information, talked about their experience in preparing analytical articles and operational information.
