Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Members of the delegation, consisting of the heads of the VEON group of companies, met with the chairman of the Central Bank Mamarizo Nurmuratov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development and digitalization of modern banking services.

It was noted that the changes that have occurred in recent years, in particular, the macroeconomic situation in Uzbekistan and the ongoing reforms in the banking and financial system, the transformation process, work to further improve the investment climate, are bringing positive results.

The guests were informed about the experience of the country’s interbank payment system and the results achieved. It was noted that currently there are more than 30 payment organizations operating in the country, making payments.

Following the meeting, representatives of the VEON group of companies expressed a desire to take part in the development of the digital economy and finance in Uzbekistan.
