Central Bank continues to work systematically to improve the financial literacy of women in the regions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 August 2021, the Department for Improving Financial Literacy and Retraining Banking Specialists in the city of Angren held a round table on improving the financial literacy of women.

The next educational event was attended by about 60 women, aged 18 to 60, from various localities of the city of Angren, among which the main audience were women included in the "Women’s Notebook" and aspiring entrepreneurs.

During the round table, the Central Bank officials highlighted the main issues of financial literacy, such as effective use of banking services, setting financial goals, generating savings through bank deposits, the procedure for calculating interest on deposits and loans, ensuring financial security and protecting the rights of consumers of financial services. The rules of responsible borrowing and the formation of a positive credit history are especially emphasized. The interactive format of the event allowed the participants to get answers to their questions.

The Central Bank plans to further conduct educational interactive activities to improve the financial literacy of women in the field.
