Central Bank and Ministry of Finance place securities for 40.7 billion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan placed government securities for 40.7 billion soums.

According to the Central Bank, the Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange held an auction to place government securities with a maturity of 12 months, with a nominal value of 1.0 million soums in the amount of 40,000 units with quarterly interest payments. Total output amounted to 40.0 billion soums.

Four dealers participated in the auction, which submitted competitive bids for the purchase of a total of 82,000 bonds for a total of 83.3 billion soums.

During the auction, 40,000 bonds were placed (100% of the total issue) worth 40.7 billion soums.

As of the maturity date (on 27 February 2020), the total amount of redemption of placed securities at the auction will be 46 billion soums.

The weighted average yield of securities was 12.98% per annum, with a minimum yield of 12.86% and a maximum yield or at the cut-off price of 13.01%.
