Center on training to sewing opens in Uzbek capital
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Center on training to sewing will open in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 9 June 2010. The center was created by German Technical Cooperation Society (GTZ), Switzerland’s Bernina International AG and BERNINA-TIKUVMASH LLC within the international programme “Education of unemployed women to sewing”.

The center will help women from low-income families to learn new profession and receive basic knowledge on starting own small business. The special attention will be paid to those, who have no opportunity to train in isolation from family and homeworks.

Women will contribute to economy of Uzbekistan and produce ready-made garments to export along with learning new interesting and income-bearing profession.

During the opening ceremony on 9 June, the visitors will familiarize with opportunities and equipments of the Center, as well as shop on sale of sewing, sewing-embroidery machines and others.

The visitors will also get acquainted with opportunities of the machines and electronic version of programme My Label, which helps to get sizes and cut out a patterns.
