Center for New Food Freezing and Storage Technologies Unveiled

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 August, the presentation of the Center for New Technologies in Freezing, Processing, and Storage of Food Products, established by Air Products, was held.

During the event, participants were shown demonstrations of the innovative equipment in operation. Representatives of government bodies and the business community attended the presentation.

Abdulla Khashimov, Advisor to the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, noted that the launch of the Center marks an important step in modernizing the agro-industrial sector and introducing advanced technologies for deep processing of agricultural products.

The facility is equipped with modern systems for shock freezing and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP).

Producers can use the Center to observe the operation of the technologies, undergo training, adapt solutions to their own enterprises, and assess the advantages of cryogenic freezing.

The technological foundation of the Center is a new plant in Navoi for the production of liquid carbon dioxide, with a capacity of 120 tons per day and a purity level of 99.99%.

Organizers emphasized that the Center’s activities are directly linked to strengthening the export potential of the agro-industrial sector.

The complex has obtained all required quality and compliance certifications, including the international Halal standard.

This will expand the geography of Uzbekistan’s food exports and strengthen its position in global markets.
