Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2024, cement sales on the exchange platform of JSC Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) grew by 58% compared to 2023, reaching 5.9 million tons at an average price of 534,700 soums per ton. The average monthly sales amounted to over 491,800 tons.

The leader among sellers was Ahangarantsement,"= which accounted for 18% of the total sales volume. The second place was taken by Kyzylkumsement with a 3% share, while the third position was held by Bekabadcement with a 1% share. The remaining sellers accounted for 78% of the total sales.

Throughout the reporting period, cement prices were determined solely by market supply and demand. The average prices at the plants ranged from 472,900 to 588,500 soums per ton.

The highest demand for cement was observed in Tashkent and the Tashkent region, which together accounted for 34% of total purchases. Significant interest was also shown by the Samarkand region (15%) and the Kashkadarya region (14%). Ferghana region held 8% of the market, while the remaining regions accounted for a smaller portion of the purchases.
