The Central Election Commission, having considered the documents of political parties, adopted a resolution on registration of candidates for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Candidates for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan have registered from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen - Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan – Shavkat Mirziyayev, the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan – Hotamjon Ketmonov, the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Milly Tiklanish" – Sarvar Otamuratov and the Social-democratic party "Adolat" – Narimon Umarov.

In line with Article 28 of the Law “On Elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” the election campaign starts from the date of registration by the Central Election Commission of the candidates for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
