Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the Congress Hall, within the framework of the Second International Economic Forum, which will be held on 3-4 November in Samarkand, a meeting was held between the leadership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representatives of the International Monetary Fund, headed by the Director of the Department of the Middle East and Central Asia Jihad Azour.

At the meeting, issues of the macroeconomic situation in Uzbekistan and forecasts for the future were discussed. Detailed information on the development of the banking sector was presented.

During the meeting, Jihad Azour highly appreciated the ongoing work of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan in the field of monetary policy.

As a result of the event, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
