Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the modern digital world, where technology penetrates all spheres of life, cybersecurity is becoming a key issue for organizations and individual users. The era of digitalization offers enormous opportunities, but also poses threats and risks associated with fraud and cyber attacks. Financial fraud using social engineering is a common and pressing problem that poses a threat to both individuals and organizations.

In this regard, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan hosted a two-day forum dedicated to security issues in fintech, with the participation of commercial banks, payment organizations, law enforcement agencies, international companies, as well as vendors in the field of cybersecurity and anti-fraud systems.

During the event, solutions were presented on modern methods of fraud associated with the use of bank cards, statistical data on committed fraud and current trends were announced. Effective methods and strategies used to prevent and combat fraudulent activities in different countries were also presented.

The forum discussed types of fraud associated with electronic payment systems and methods used by fraudsters to steal funds. Participants discussed the prevention and protection measures needed to ensure the security of electronic payments and protect the interests of users.

Issues related to the collection, storage, use and protection of personal data when using biometric identification systems were also the focus of attention of those present.

The goal is to develop strong security principles and measures that will ensure the confidentiality and protection of user data.

The forum presented comprehensive solutions for banking and payment systems aimed at detecting and preventing financial crimes, ensuring a high level of security and compliance with legal requirements.
