Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the basis of the appeal received, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan conducted a study of consumer lending procedures at InfinBANK to ensure that the bank complied with the rights and legitimate interests of consumers of banking services. This was reported by the press service of the Central Bank.

Based on the results of the study, a number of violations were revealed, including, loan agreements concluded with the right of the bank to unilaterally change the interest rate on the loan.

Loan agreements do not reflect the rights of borrowers to refuse to receive a loan on a free basis until the transfer of funds for the payment of consumer goods.

Copies of signed agreements were not issued to individual borrowers.

In this connection, the Central Bank sent an order to InfinBANK to restore consumer rights, including on bringing the terms of loan agreements in accordance with the requirements of the law.

In accordance with article 57 of the Law “On Banks and Banking Activities”, penalties were imposed in respect of infringing violations of consumer rights in the process of providing banking services to JSCB “InfinBANK”.
