The statement of the regulator said that several internet outlets made reports that the commercial banks suspended payments on import contracts, including imported goods.

Central Bank stated that information on suspension of payments for import contacts by commercials are not true.

The regulator said that the commercial banks are making payments on import contacts for supply of goods, services and works in time and in full volume.

Commercial banks of Uzbekistan will continue to assist to execute liabilities of their clients before the foreign partners, the Central Bank said.
