Cashback for 15,900 consumer checks was cancelled. What is the reason?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 January 2022, individuals who registered checks in the Soliq mobile application for purchases at retail, catering facilities and the provision of personal services to the population by scanning a QR code will be returned 1 % of purchases.

From 1 January to 1 February, 32,755,242 checks were issued online, which is 191% more than in the same period of last year (17,134,987 checks). Of these, 1,482,563 checks were registered in the Soliq mobile application, the amount of cashback for which amounted to 19.4 billion soums.

It is worth noting that the practice of obtaining cashback, aimed at strengthening public control in the field of retail, consumer services and catering, is becoming increasingly popular among consumers.

However, as of today, as a result of the analysis of registered checks, cases of abuse by employees of some technical service centers (TSCs) of their official duties have been revealed, namely, registering checks on their own behalf for purchases made by other persons in order to receive cashback.

Including 3 employees of the TSCs registered 15.9 thousand checks with a total value of 11 billion soums, belonging to 281 business entities that they serve.

In particular, by scanning a QR code in the Soliq mobile application, they registered:

K.N. - 7,524 checks of 178 entrepreneurs in the amount of 5.8 billion soums;

K.A. - 5,206 checks of 80 entrepreneurs in the amount of 4.6 billion soums;

R.F. - 3,131 checks of 23 entrepreneurs in the amount of 0.6 billion soums.

The cashback amounts accrued for checks registered in the Soliq mobile application by the above persons without making purchases by them are cancelled.

The State Tax Committee said that it constantly monitors the correct application of the cashback refund scheme.
