Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Competition Development and Consumer Protection Committee of Uzbekistan has identified actions leading to unjustified price increases for mineral fertilizers produced by Maxam-Chirchiq.
The committee’s report indicates that non-compliance with existing regulatory documents in price formation resulted in an average price increase of 10-15% for mineral fertilizers.
A case has been initiated against the enterprise for violating the requirements of the "Competition Law," according to the committee.
The committee added that the identified factors directly affect agricultural enterprises, including clusters, farms, and dekhkan households.
In the committee’s view, this leads to increased prices for agricultural products.
