Car sales in Uzbekistan drop by 14.5% in February
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In February 2025, Uzbekistan’s automotive market experienced a moderate decline in activity across both the new and used car segments.
According to the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, total passenger car sales fell by 14.5% compared to January, reaching 67,200 units.
New locally produced car sales remained stable at 21,700 units, while new imported car sales more than halved.
The used car market also saw a decline, with 43,300 units sold, marking a 16% drop from January.
The electric vehicle (EV) segment recorded a downturn as well, with 2,900 EVs sold, an 11% decrease from the previous month. However, compared to February 2024, EV sales more than doubled, highlighting long-term growth in this segment.
