Car sales in Uzbekistan decreased by 3% in March 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Center for Economic Research and Reforms of Uzbekistan has published the results of an analysis of the car market for March 2025. In March, vehicle sales in the country decreased by 3%, totaling 76.8 thousand units.
Sales of passenger cars dropped by 3.4% compared to the previous month, reaching almost 65 thousand units.
In the primary passenger car market, sales fell by 6%, totaling 22.4 thousand cars, although there was a 3% year-on-year growth.
The segment of foreign-made cars continued to show positive dynamics, with a 28% increase in sales, amounting to 2.7 thousand units for the month. Despite this growth, the annual increase remains moderate at 13%.
In the secondary passenger car market, activity saw a slight decline of 2%, with total sales reaching 42.5 thousand units.
Meanwhile, the segment of used electric vehicles showed positive dynamics, increasing sales by 10% to 1.8 thousand electric cars, and demonstrating a threefold increase compared to the same period last year.
