Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A ceremony was held in Tashkent to inaugurate the campus of the branch of Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (RSPU).
The event, symbolizing a new phase in educational and scientific collaboration between Russia and Uzbekistan, was attended by Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, and Tanzila Narbaeva, Speaker of the Senate of Uzbekistan.
"Uzbekistan places great emphasis on training highly qualified specialists in all fields, with a particular focus on educational collaboration with Russia. It is no coincidence that 14 branches of leading Russian universities already operate in the country. There is also a significant focus on teaching the Russian language," Narbaeva noted during the ceremony.
The new campus, covering an area of 15,000 square meters, is designed for 2,000 students. Guests were given a tour of the classrooms, the Center for Correctional Pedagogy, the preschool education and psychology laboratory, and an exhibition of books by Uzbek and Russian authors used in the educational process.
The branch of RSPU in Tashkent has been operating for four years, providing students with quality education tailored to modern demands and innovations. During this time, it has established itself as a sought-after and effective center, with over a thousand students currently enrolled.
The educational process follows Russian standards and includes programs in psychology, Russian language, preschool education, and correctional education.
