CAITME 2012 and Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2012 start in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Seventh Central Asian International Textile Machinery Exhibition – CAITME 2012 and the Ninth Central Asian International Exhibition “Textile Expo Uzbekistan” opened at UzExpoCenter in Tashkent on 12 September 2012.

The exhibitions are organized by International exhibition company ITE Uzbekistan and its partner ITE (Great Britain).

Gullola Nadirkhanova, manager of the projects, said that some 256 companies from 24 countries are participating at the united exhibitions.

Companies from Austria, Belgium, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, India, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Republic of Korea, Russia, Romania, USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Japan. She said that share of foreign companies makes up 84% and local firms – 16%.

She said that Turkey will be represented by 47 companies, Germany – 30 companies, Italy – 28 companies, China – 28 companies, Japan – 12 companies and Switzerland – 11 companies.

Uzbekistan will be represented by 38 companies, of which 20 are representative offices of foreign companies in the country.

Russian Federation will represented by six companies, which is recorded for the first time, project manager said.

The organizers said that CAITME and Textile Expo Uzbekistan stimulates business cooperation, attracting leading producers and consumers of equipment, technologies and materials for textile and light industry. The events allow to hold business meetings among consumers, producers and traders.

The exhibitions are placed in two pavilions with total area of 5,000 square meters, the organizers said.

The visitors will have chance to familiarize with large number of textile equipment and machines. In this connection, the organizers introduced schedules for demonstration of machines and equipment.

The organizers said that textile machinery will occupy 90% of exposition. Some 70 companies are participating at the exhibition. There are also many debutants at Textile Expo Uzbekistan.

It is expected that representatives of textile and clothing industry, initiators of new textile projects, as well as specialists from foreign states will visit the event.

The organizers said that the buyers programme will be available at the exhibition Textile Expo Uzbekistan. In previous exhibition, various companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, USA and Uzbekistan participated at the programme.

First Deputy Chairperson of Uzbekyengilsanoat Maqsun Mansurov said that light industry is one of key sectors of economy of Uzbekistan. Share of light industry in GDP of Uzbekistan makes up 2.7% and industrial production – over 26%.

In order to increase capacities and assortment of products in 2012-2014, it is planned to purchase 700 units of equipment to produce ready garments, yarn and fabrics for US$13.4 million.

Overall Uzbekyengilsanoat will implement 23 investment projects with total sum of US$625 million. In last 20 years, textile industry attracted over US$1.3 billion of foreign investments.
