'C' course in Uzbekistan kick off
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Young Uzbek and Jordanian coaches began their coaching educational quests when they recently started their AFC ‘C’ Football Coaching Certificate Courses in Bukhara and Amman respectively.

The opening ceremony of the Jordan course was held at the Jordan Football Association headquarters on November 3, attended by 27 participants.

Dr. Fayez Abu Arida of the Jordan FA Board, Director of Jordan FA Technical Committee Ahmad Qutaishat and Ziad Akobeh of the Coach Education Department were present at the course opening. Ali Shehab coordinated the course.

In his speech, Dr. Arida thanked the AFC for the support to the Jordan FA support in the development of Jordanian coaches and wished the participants success.

The ‘C’ course in Uzbekistan, meanwhile, runs on November 5-19, and also aims at training coaches and developing their basic techniques and skills in football. It is designed to teach the coaches to organise, direct and conduct basic coaching practices targeting especially young players.

A typical course lasts about 13 days and requires a minimum of 85 hours of study time for both the practical and theoretical sessions. In the final examination, students will be assessed on their practical coaching abilities and knowledge of the laws of the game, in addition to learning and understanding of the theory contents of football coaching.
