These events have been organized within the visit of the Malaysian business circles to Uzbekistan (21-28 April), which is aimed at boosting trade-economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides considered current state and perspectives of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia. The sides exchanged opinion on developing common positions on creating favourable conditions for further expanding business contracts.
An exhibition of goods, produced in Uzbekistan and Malaysia, were organized within the framework of the exhibitions.
It is expected that Malaysian delegation will hold negotiations with businesses of Bukhara and Samarkand.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Malaysia made up US$31.9 million in 2009, of which US$8.3 million fell to share of Uzbekistan’s exports and US$23.6 million to imports.
Currently, there are 24 enterprises with Malaysian capital operate in Uzbekistan, of which four with 100 foreign capital.
