Business regulation is simplified

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the continuation of the tax reform, consistent measures are being taken to create equal competitive conditions for business entities, as well as to protect consumer rights.

By Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 10 February 2023 No. UP-21, organizations making money transfers between individuals must, from 1 May 2023, draw up and provide an electronic invoice for the services rendered to them, regardless of the commission they charge. This is reported by the Information Service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

This measure does not affect relations between business entities operating in accordance with the law, as it concerns only transfers between individuals.

The cost of sending electronic invoices consists of the cost of the service provided by the division of the Tax Committee and business entities that are operators of electronic invoices (24 operators provide services as of 10 February 2023).

The cost of the service varies depending on the service provided by the operator and averages from 270 to 450 soums per electronic invoice.

At the same time, measures are planned to radically reduce the cost of the service provided, as well as to simplify the procedure for sending electronic invoices.

At the same time, operators of electronic invoices independently determine the cost of the services provided, but the reduction in the cost of the service provided by the Tax Committee division will also allow them to reduce the cost of the service provided.

The Tax Committee is taking measures to provide a comprehensive service for organizations that carry out money transfers between individuals by sending electronic invoices for these transactions with the cost of the service rendered at 1 soum.
