Business Activity Index up in industry sector by 8 percentage points
State Committee of Demonopolization
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Center for improvement of antimonopoly policy under the State Committee of Demonopolization of Uzbekistan issued Business Activity Index for October 2009 - APIC 50.
Business Activity Index is prepared on the result of survey of 50 large and medium organizations of industry and service sector, representing fast growing directions of economy and sensible to changes in global and local markets.
Business Activity Index in industry sector grew by 8 percentage points to 59.6 in October compared to 51.6 in September. In service sector, Business Activity index fell from 57.1 in September to 54 in October.
The index developed based on PMI methodology. If PMI index is higher than 50, the business activity growth is observed, otherwise - recession.
