Business Activity Index was higher than 50 points, which shows positive development trend of business activity. Despite decrease, significant growth of index was observed in machinery and electrotechnical industry (+6.6 points), healthcare and information technologies (+15).

The forecast figure for August 2012 made up 71.1 points, which shows optimistic mood of the business.

Business Activity Index in industry sector (APIC 100) was developed in June 2010 and calculated based on survey of 100 large and medium businesses. The APIC 100 replaced the Index APIC 50 (based on survey of 50 enterprises).

The index is calculated based on 5 basic indicators, such as new orders, production volume and realization, employment and ready products at warehouse.
