Business Activity Index of Uzbekistan grows in May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Business Activity Index in industry sector of Uzbekistan APIC 100 keeps the positive growth rate, the State Demonopolization Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The index made up 61.9 points in May 2011, or grew by 1.1 point compared to April 2011 (60.8). The forecast for June 2011 makes up 67 points, which says about optimistic mood of the businesses.
The committee noted that current Business Activity Index means favourable trend as it is higher than 50 points and positive dynamic says about the growth of business activity.
Business Activity Index in industry sector (APIC 100) was developed in June 2010 and calculated based on survey of 100 large and medium businesses. The APIC 100 replaced the Index APIC 50 (based on survey of 50 enterprises).
The index is calculated based on 5 basic indicators, such as new orders, production volume and realization, employment and ready products at warehouse.
