Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A tourist bus was involved in an accident in Jambay district of Samarkand region.

The traffic incident occurred at around 7:00 a.m. on 11 February at the 1079th kilometer of the M-39 highway.

According to preliminary reports, a Zhongtong tourist bus collided with a Cobalt car on a bridge. Following the impact, the bus driver made a sudden brake maneuver, causing the vehicle to overturn.

As a result of the accident, a 68-year-old passenger lost his life. No injuries have been reported.

A criminal case has been initiated, and a pre-investigation inquiry is underway.
