Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Bunyodkor club has recently begun to closely cooperate with Croatian football. It is also widely known that the parties managed to implement a number of practical measures in a short time. A number of new projects are planned ahead.

Within the framework of such mutually promising programs, a Croatian delegation visited our country. Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz", President of the football club "Bunyodkor" Mehriddin Abdullayev, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Uzbekistan Refik Shabanovic, Ivica Piric and Vladimir Ribich, who were famous football players in the past, and now are representatives of country’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, lawyer- international specialist Marko Bekavac-Basic received a delegation of guests consisting of expert Ante Gabrilos. 

The meeting agenda includes issues of further development of football in our country, including negotiations on bringing the activities of the Bunyodkor football club and the academy under its management to a new level, as well as establishing mutual cooperation, attracting investment from Croatian investors in the fuel and energy complex of our republic and the implementation of joint projects.

“Mr. Mehriddin Abdullayev, first of all, we express our deep gratitude to you for receiving us at the highest level. Recently, three young Bunyodkor teams returned from worthy and successful participation in the international Dalmatinko Cup, organized in Split. In the competition, which was attended by more than three and a half thousand participants, your young players played very meaningful games and made a positive impression on many local specialists. This clearly demonstrated that there are enough talented athletes in your country, and that the government of Uzbekistan pays special attention to youth football,” said Ambassador Refik Shabanovich.

After that, the Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz and the President of FC Bunyodkor spoke, and we are always looking for a policy of careful care that the representatives of tomorrow are at the highest level in the Bunyodkor football club. There are many talented players in Uzbekistan. In order for their future to be bright, for their skills in the future to unequivocally meet international requirements, for them to grow up and play in European clubs and adequately defend the honor of the national team of Uzbekistan, we considered it expedient to cooperate with you, that is, with Croatian football,” said he.

At the same time, the Croatian guests were provided with detailed information on the overall activities of Uzbekneftegaz JSC. As a result of intensive negotiations within the framework of bilateral cooperation, the parties reached an agreement on several areas.

These are the exchange of experience in the field of youth football, the sending of young Uzbek coaches to Croatia for an internship, the visit of qualified European specialists to our country and the organization of seminars and trainings, the exchange of their methods and methods of work, the participation of Uzbek and Croatian teams in organized here and there competitions there.

In addition, as mentioned above, in the field of the fuel and energy complex, including the extraction and processing of hydrocarbons, Uzbekneftegaz JSC also discussed the possibilities and prospects for cooperation between Croatian oil and gas companies.

As another practical continuation of this cooperation, the youth team "Bunyodkor" U-21 summer is preparing to leave for the summer training camp on July 18-30. As part of the training camp, Lastochka will play 4-5 friendly matches with local clubs.
