Bunyodkor, who got Australian outfit Adelaide United in the double header ACL quarter-final on Thursday’s draw last week, got back to winning after a 0-0 draw with second-placed Nasaf also last week broke their five-match winning streak.
The four-time Uzbek champions are now with 24 points from 11 matches, two points above Nasaf who crashed out of the ACL having finished at the bottom of Group A in May.
Bunyodkor finished second in Group E in their ACL campaign below leaders Adelaide United of Australia and then beat Korea Republic outfit Seongnam Ihlwa Chunma 1-0 in the Round of 16.
But then, a ‘rematch’ is now in order as they were again drawn against Adelaide for their two-legged quarterfinal encounter on September 19 at Hindmarsh Stadium, Adelaide, and in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on October 3.
