Bukhara Night Race takes place

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 September, a unique sporting event, the Bukhara Night Race International Charitable Musical Night Race, ended in Bukhara. This race format is held for the first time in Uzbekistan and is part of the Samarkand Marathon series of races.

Bukhara Night Race is an international night race, part of the Samarkand Marathon series of charity races, organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Sports Development and the Khokimiyat of Bukhara region.

The event included running distances for 5 and 10 km, Nordic walking for 5 km, as well as children's run "Kids Run" for 300 and 600 meters. More than 1500 people took part in the race.

The musical program was opened by DJ Jad Halal, and the awards ceremony was accompanied by a musical performance by Dj Lehar, who performed his best works at the Ark citadel.

Bukhara Night Race was initiated by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which has been holding the Samarkand Marathon charity marathon since 2019, which has become the flagship sporting event in the country. The marathon sets a new trend for holding such festivals of culture and sports, bringing together thousands of participants from all over the world for charitable purposes.

The implementation of a series of races in Bukhara, Zaamin, Bostanlyk districts and Samarkand also supports the goals of the Samarkand Marathon 2022, helping to attract additional attention and resources to the theme of adaptation of museums for people with disabilities.
