Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A charity run BUKHARA NIGHT RACE will take place on 17 September.
BUKHARA NIGHT RACE is an international night race, part of the Samarkand Marathon series of charity races, organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Sports Development and the Khokimiyat of Bukhara region.
BUKHARA NIGHT RACE is the most unusual start of the season and the first night race in Uzbekistan, which starts on 17 September at sunset in Bukhara. The event will include running distances for 5 and 10 km, Nordic Walking for 5 km, as well as the children's run "Kids Run" for 300 and 600 meters. More than 2,000 people are expected to take part in the race.
The race will take place on an illuminated track passing through the iconic places and streets of authentic Bukhara, introducing the participants to the sights of the old city. This unique event will expand networking and help share knowledge with participants from other countries, each of whom contributes to a good cause. In 2022, the goal of the race is to adapt museums for people with visual impairments. The collected funds will be used to purchase audio guides, tactile paintings and the necessary equipment.
The cost of participation is from 100,000 to 150,000 soums (depending on the chosen distance). Registration for the race is available until 12 September on the website bukharanightrace.uz. Each registered participant will receive a branded T-shirt and bag as a gift, and those participants in the race who can meet the time limit of each distance will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line. Upon request, the medal can be engraved.
As part of the event, a cultural program awaits guests and participants, which will end with a grand concert with the participation of DJ Jad Halal (Lebanon) and DJ Lehar (Italy). In addition, there is a children's area, food courts and areas for photographing. All the most interesting moments of the event will be captured by sports photographers, and a special photo search service will help you find the right frame by the number of the race participant.
BUKHARA NIGHT RACE was initiated by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which since 2019 has been holding the Samarkand Marathon charity marathon, which has become the flagship sporting event in the country. The marathon sets a new trend for holding such festivals of culture and sports, bringing together thousands of participants from all over the world for charitable purposes.
The implementation of a series of races in Bukhara, Zaamin, Bostanlyk districts and Samarkand also supports the goals of the Samarkand Marathon 2022, helping to attract additional attention and resources to the theme of adaptation of museums for people with disabilities.
