The renowned American newspaper recommends visiting this historic city, rich in architectural masterpieces of Islamic culture, highlighting that Bukhara offers a unique experience for travelers who want to immerse themselves in the medieval atmosphere.
A key event drawing attention from The New York Times is the inaugural Bukhara Biennale of Contemporary Art, which will run from 5 September to 20 November.
The exhibition will showcase works by globally renowned artists, including British sculptor Antony Gormley, set against Bukhara’s unique historical landscapes, including caravanserais and madrasas.
