Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Locusts invaded Bukhara region of Uzbekistan. Advisor to the Minister of Ecology of Uzbekistan Rasul Kusherbaev published a video showing a swarm of insects that reached the region.

According to him, locusts were spotted along the A-380 Bukhara-Khorezm road, near the city of Gazli.

Kusherbaev noted that insects densely filled the area, colliding with houses and cars. At night they accumulate near light sources.

The adviser called on local authorities not to ignore the problem, emphasizing that such invasions could cause significant losses to Uzbekistan.
