Bukhara and Trabzon become sister cities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Bukhara and the Turkish city of Trabzon have officially established sister city relations. The agreement was signed at the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
The partnership aims to strengthen cultural, economic, and social ties between the two cities. In the future, joint projects are planned in the fields of tourism, trade, and education.
Trabzon, located on the Black Sea coast in the province of the same name, is renowned for its historical heritage, including numerous examples of Byzantine architecture. One of its most famous landmarks is the Panagia Sumela Monastery, carved into the cliffs.
