The articles said Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva are pearls of the Great Silk Road and they are pride of Uzbek people and part of priceless Islam heritage. The magazines also covered architectural and cultural values and ancient historic monuments.

The British magazines said Oxford and Samarkand are holding preliminary work to establish relations within Open Central Asia project.
