British business is interested in investing in the telecommunications sector of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, a meeting was held with the director of the British company Stephen Simeon Limited, Biyi Oloko, Dunyo news agency reported.

The consulting and technology company Stephen Simeon was founded in 2001. The company is located on the territory of the Thames Valley Park high-tech park. The park is home to more than 8,000 technology companies, from large companies to startups. The main areas of activity are telecommunications, IT solutions and services for business, business transformation and corporate governance. The company conducts projects in Africa and Europe, the USA and the UK.

During the meeting, Biyi Oloko noted that in recent years he had visited Uzbekistan several times, where reforms in the field of telecommunications and the stability of the investment environment in the republic made him want to implement his projects in our country.

According to him, Stephen Simeon Limited wants to create a new commercial system in the communications market through the privatization of mobile communication towers operating in our country owned by Uztelecom (up to 18 thousand), and is ready to invest US$10 million.

As a result of the negotiations, Biyi Oloko expressed a desire to take part in the “Offshore Outsourcing Tour” event, which will be held in Tashkent and Samarkand on 18-20 March, as well as the Tashkent International Investment Forum on 2 May.
